June 24th Report

End of an era trip tonight. Capt Dave is moving on to new goals in his life. Last evening was his last guided trip. He will most definitely be missed. Ten years he guided for Indian Head Charters and is a real good guy. Heck he even helped me paint my house. Our friendship will remain strong. You just do not find fishing buddies turned co-worker and will always be part of my family. I am getting misty..

Back to fishing report....

We had a double trip and the wind was light. Bright sun followed by low clouds and a light sprinkle of rain. We started on a spot with some big swim baits that I thought would be killer. Wrong. Moved around on slow outgoing tide. Caught a few LGMouth and saw some snakeheads. Moved back in the creek to find it a little more stained from the frog choker rain the previous day. Made the call to try another creek close by. Good call as we landed well over 15 LGMouth on Pop r. Golden hour the sky was gorgeous and the bite still on.

This is Capt Dave in golden hour.
